Transgender celebrity Caitlyn Jenner was spotted spending a night out in a West Hollywood gay bar on Saturday. The reality star painted the town red over the weekend, when she was also spotted having dinner at Malibu hotspot Nobu.

According to a report by x17 Online, the 65-year-old former athlete enjoyed an evening in the Abbey, a popular West Hollywood gay bar, last Saturday. A bar insider told the publication that Jenner enjoyed a drink or two and danced on several occasions.

Jenner arrived at around 9:30 p.m. with some friends. The group stayed for more than an hour and Caitlyn was described to be “relaxed.” The Abbey draws a mixed gay and straight crowd and is also popular with such celebrities as Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. E News reported that Caitlyn stuck close to transgender performer Candis Cayne for the duration of the evening.

Jenner wore an edgy black leather wrap dress, some black and silver heels and a cardigan. She also wore a lot of leather when she was spotted having dinner at Nobu the previous evening. On Friday, she chose leather pants and leather boots to complete her all-black look.

Despite being transgender, Caitlyn had previously stated that she is not gay. During her “coming out” interview with Diane Sawyer last April, she stated that she had only ever been with women. She referred to herself as heterosexual but she also emphasized that she identifies as a woman.

This caused some confusion for Sawyer, and later stepdaughter Kim Kardashian also inquired if being heterosexual as a man makes her a lesbian. Caitlyn insisted that gender identity and sexuality are separate and that she had always been attracted to women.
