• "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War" arrives on November 13
  • Activision has not yet announced the start date of the game's beta
  • A series of listings may have given away teh start date of "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War"  beta

Game developer Activision may have accidentally revealed the start date for this year of “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.” It appears that despite the official reveal, the leaks for the upcoming “COD” installment continues. Following the leaked editions, campaign details and release date, the starting date of the game’s beta is now out.

“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” in-game store page may have leaked the start date of “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War” beta. Revealed by reliable “Call of Duty” insider COD Tracker, the page showed an October 8, 2020 beta start date. It seems that this is the date where the beta kicks off for PlayStation 4 players.

The same information was shared by the “Call of Duty: WW2” in-game store that was shared on Reddit. This gives further credence to the information shared by the insider. As announced earlier, the “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War” beta would go live first on PlayStation and would be followed by other gaming platforms.

Unfortunately, the listings do not reveal the full “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War” beta schedule. However, it is easy to speculate on the dates based on the previous betas of “Call of Duty” titles. One possible arrangement is that the beta would be available on the first week only to those who pre-ordered the game’s PS4 version.

This is the same as the beta schedule of “Marvel’s Avengers.” The “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War” could then go live to PC and Xbox One pre-orders. Finally, the game’s proper beta would be available for everyone.

Based on the assumption that it will be a two-weekend beta schedule, the PS4 pre-order beta would most likely happen starting October 8 until October 9. This might be followed by an open beta on October 10 to 12. On October 15 to 16, the “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War” beta would be available to Xbox One or PC pre-orders. The full open beta of the game could go live on all gaming platforms on October 17 until October 19.

“Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War” is set to release on November 13th for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC.
