Camilla Parker Bowles reportedly bragged about her close relationship with the royal family as a child.

Emily Hodgkin, a journalist for Express, claimed that Bowles was so proud of her unique connection with Prince Charles' family. Christopher Anderson, the author who wrote “Game of Crowns: Elizabeth, Camilla, Kate, and the Throne,” recently shared details about Bowles’ childhood during an interview with the New York Post.

Bowles’ great-grandmother was Alice Keppel, King Edward VII’s mistress. When she was in grade school, Bowles repeatedly told her classmates that her great-grandmother was the lover of the king so she’s practically royalty.

One of her classmates, Lynn Annette, Ripley, told biographer Gyles Brandreth that Bowles has inner strength, magnetism, and confidence. Carolyn Benson, a former Queen’s Gate student, described Prince Charles’ wife as “quite a flirt” and said that she admired her ability to talk to boys about what interests them.

In 1971, Prince Charles met Bowles after they were introduced to each other by their common friend Lucia Santa Cruz. They dated each other shortly after their first meeting. After an on-again-off-again relationship, Prince Charles and Bowles finally wed in a civil ceremony in 2005.

Last month, Bowles made headlines after Prince Harry opened up about his relationship to his stepmom. Since Bowles had an affair with Prince Charles while he was still married to Princess Diana, royal fans viewed her as an “evil stepmom.”

But Prince Harry set the record straight in Angela Levin’s book “Harry: Conversations with the Prince.”

“To be honest, she’s always been close to me and William. She’s not a wicked stepmother. Look at the position she’s coming into. Don’t feel sorry for me and William, feel sorry for her,” he said.

The Duke of Sussex also described Bowles as a wonderful woman and said that she’s made Prince Charles very happy. The siblings also reportedly love Bowles to bits.

Levin also noted that Prince William and Prince Harry welcomed Bowles into their lives with ease after their mom passed away.
