Camilla Parker Bowles will leave Queen Elizabeth II and the rest of the members of the royal family early on Christmas day.

The members of the Firm usually spend the holidays together with the Queen in Sandringham. The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall will be joining them, but Camilla will not be staying long.

According to Express, Camilla will leave Queen Elizabeth II and the other royals early on Christmas day to celebrate the holidays with her own family. Camilla has two children from her first husband Andrew Parker Bowles.

Camilla’s son Tom Parker Bowles shared how they spend Christmas as a family. He revealed that Camilla usually drives down after the Queen’s speech to be with them.

“Even now, we all drive down to be together. My mother's up with my stepfather, and she comes down on Christmas Day straight after the Queen's speech,” he told Town and Country magazine. “So it's very much a family thing.”

Tom also revealed that Camilla is good at roasting chicken and is brilliant at “very traditional English stuff.” The duchess also cooks fish and meat for them. He described Camilla as a “traditional cook.”

Last year, Camilla pulled out of attending Christmas Day church service in Sandringham. Prince Charles arrived sans his wife, but he was joined by Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for the traditional Christmas walk.

On Christmas day, the royal family would gather at the monarch’s Sandringham House in Norfolk. According to Carly Read of Express, everyone must stay up until midnight and play charades until the Queen announces she has had enough of the game.

They also exchange gifts on Christmas Eve in the red drawing room. No one is allowed to open their presents until Prince Philip gives his permission. When it comes to buying presents, the members of the royal family usually go for cheap “joke gift.”

In related news, Prince Harry and Markle will not be joining the royal family this holiday season. The couple will reportedly spend Christmas in Los Angeles with Markle’s mom. An insider claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s rumored rift with Prince William is among the major reasons the couple decided to celebrate Christmas away from the royal family.
