Cardi B has apologized for hosting a big Thanksgiving party amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The apology comes after the rapper shared videos from the large gathering attended by 37 people.

The videos, which have been deleted following the outrage, showed a large group dancing together without wearing masks and social distancing.

“12 kids and 25 adults over the holidays. It was lit!!” Cardi tweeted Sunday.

The tweet and videos did not sit well with some netizens, who criticized Cardi for not taking COVID-19 guidelines seriously even when cases continue to surge in the country. One social media user called her out for her ignorant behavior and slammed for making a mockery of coronavirus restrictions.

“I hope it was worth it for you and those 25 adults and 12 kids. I truly hope it was because I can promise you it’s not worth it to everyone else who is affected by your poor choices aka the healthcare workers who you will run to when you’re sick,” one netizen wrote on Twitter.

In response, the “WAP” hitmaker issued an apology and said she did not mean to “offend anyone” by hosting a party. In her tweet, she also revealed that she spent a good amount of money to get everyone tested before the celebration.

“Sorry, my bad wasn’t trying to make nobody feel bad. I just had my family in my home for the first time and it felt so good & uplifted me. I spent so much money getting every1 tested but it felt worth it. I wasn't trying to offend no1,” the rapper wrote.

In a follow-up tweet, Cardi explained that she took all the necessary precautions before hosting such a lavish party and got herself and the people who work with her tested regularly.

“ME specially and everyone that works around me get tested literally 4 times a week. I'm In the middle of work and every time we clock in we MUST GET TESTED!” she said.

Her tweet made the situation even worse as people started blasting the artist for bragging about a large gathering amid the global health crisis.

“Bragging about your large gathering during a pandemic to your millions of impressionable fans who do not have the money that you have to get rapid tests is irresponsible,” one Twitter user wrote.

This is not the first time Cardi has stirred controversy because of her antics. Recently, she apologized for appropriating Goddess Durga's image for a magazine cover shoot while promoting her debut sneaker line for Reebok.

“When I did the shoot, the creatives told me I was going to represent a goddess; that she represents strength, femininity, and liberation, and that’s something I love and I’m all about,” the singer said on Instagram. “And though it was dope, if people think I’m offending their culture or their religion I want to say that was not my intent. I do not like offending anyone’s religion; I wouldn’t like it if someone did it to my religion.”
