Cardi B likely caused concern in some fans on Thursday, as she revealed that she had been hospitalized amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. In a now-deleted tweet, the "I Like It" rapper stated that the trip to the ER had occurred the previous night.

"Honestly, cause I been having some real bad stomach problems for four days, I went to the ER last night," the musician tweeted, according to The Daily Mail.

Continuing, she then gave fans a health update, adding, "I am feeling way better, Hopefully tomorrow I will feel no more pain."

Upon hearing the news, those who follow the former "Love & Hip Hop: New York" cast member may have wondered if her recent health scare was related to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak. However, at this time, the two are not considered to be connected.

Since then, it appears that Cardi, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, seems to be in good spirits, as she has posted images on her Instagram following her health problems.

On March 24, the "Bodak Yellow" rapper did, in fact, speak out at length about the current pandemic in a NSFW video posted to her Instagram prior to her hospitalization. In the clip, she discussed the issues that many are facing at this time due to the inconsistencies around testing and what groups seem to be getting preferential treatment.

Additionally, Cardi also spoke out the fact that many people do not have the "luxury" to self-quarantine in a big house by themselves, as many live in small apartments with family members. Furthermore, she then addressed the cost of the test, acknowledging that many people cannot afford health care, let alone shoulder the price of the coronavirus test.

Aside from the aforementioned topics that are more serious in nature, another one of her Instagram videos on the topic was recently made into a series of remixes. One in particular, simply titled "Coronavirus" by a DJ named iMarkkeyz, made it onto the top 100 hip-hop/rap songs on iTunes. Upon finding out about the chart success, Cardi herself then weighed in, stating that she felt as though she was entitled to royalties since she was featured in the song.
