New York rapper Cardi B appeared before a judge Friday in Queens Criminal Court as she faces assault charges due to a fight in August over her husband, rapper Offset's alleged dalliances with other women.

Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, rejected a plea deal over a brawl with two bartenders at Angels Strip Club in the New York borough of Queens. Rachel Wattley, 21, and her sister Sarah Wattley, 23, claimed the 26-year-old had been threatening them for months after accusing them of sleeping with Offset.

When they reportedly crossed paths at the strip club on Aug. 29, some of Cardi B's entourage attacked both sisters, throwing bottles and chairs at them and causing serious injuries that required medical attention.

Cardi B is facing charges of misdemeanor assault and reckless endangerment after allegedly throwing a hookah and bottles of alcohol at the Wattley sisters. She remained quiet during a court appearance that reportedly lasted three minutes.

Her lawyer, Jeff Kern, agreed to her next court date of May 31.

Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephu, addressed his relationship issues in February on New York radio station Power 105.1's "The Breakfast Club."

“You gotta go through steps and different things so that we can grow,” the 27-year-old said. “Not on the TV though, real behind the scenes, getting to know each other, getting to know who you’re with and appreciate them all the way around. Because that one mistake made me appreciate her.”

The couple had married privately in September 2017 and later separated in December 2018.
