Casey Affleck and Summer Phoenix have reached a settlement just days after the latter filed for divorce from the actor.

On Monday, July 31, Phoenix filed for divorce from Affleck after10 years of marriage. In the court documents obtained by TMZ, she cited irreconcilable differences and listed the date of their split as November 2015. However, the couple only announced their separation publicly in March 2016.

Initially, Affleck attempted to deny Phoenix’s request for spousal support, but he eventually complied. “Casey will not contest spousal support for his soon to be ex-wife,” a source close to the couple told Us Weekly. “The divorce has been settled amicably.”

Affleck’s rep also confirmed that the exes had an amicable split and the actor has no plans to contest her request. In fact, they have decided to remain friends even after their divorce. “Casey Affleck and Summer Phoenix have amicably separated,” his rep told E! News. “They remain very close friends.”

According to Daily Mail, Phoenix also asked for joint legal and physical custody of their children, Indiana, 13, and Atticus, 9. Affleck’s response to the filing has the same details, which means that both agreed on what they wanted in their divorce.

Affleck and Phoenix first met in 1995. They were introduced by Phoenix’s older brother, actor Joaquin Phoenix. The two started dating soon after and got engaged in 2003. After three years of being engaged, they tied the knot.

In January, Affleck recognized his ex-wife and opened up about their family life during his Golden Globes acceptance speech. “Despite how I might think that I’m in charge at my house, it’s my kids that give me permission to do this because they have got the strength of character to keep at bay all the noise that surrounds people that live publicly to let me travel for months at a time. I love you, Indiana and Atticus. Thank you very much,” he said of his kids while accepting the award for best performance by an actor. “And to their mom that gave me just about every good acting idea I ever had. Thank you very much, I love you.”

But unlike his estranged wife and kids, Affleck didn’t mention his popular brother, Ben Affleck, at all in his acceptance speech. The “Batman” star even joked about it to talk show host Jimmy Kimmel. “I was a little taken aback,” Ben confessed on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” (via E! News). “I wouldn’t do that. If it’s me, I thank people.”

Affleck explained after the event that he did not mention his older brother Ben because he was not part of the film “Manchester By the Sea” for which he earned the Golden Globe.
