CBS’ new physical competition series, “Million Dollar Mile,” premieres Wednesday night, and, with a $1 million prize on the line, the stakes are pretty high.

The show sees contestants face off against a group of elite athletes, called Defenders, as they try to win the grand prize. The competition takes place on a challenging one-mile course in downtown Los Angeles, and there are commentators and a host on-hand to make sure viewers don’t miss a single moment.

Former college football champion and NFL quarterback Tim Tebow will host “Million Dollar Mile,” while Matt “Money” Smith and Maria Taylor will serve as play-by-play commentators. As if those names aren’t enough to get people excited, LeBron James is also an executive producer on the series.

The 10 athletes making up the group of Defenders on “MillIon Dollar Mile” are Emma Chapman, Max Fennell, Rebecca Hammond, Veejay Jones, Robert Killian, Hunter McIntyre, Erik Mukhametshin, Faye Stenning, Isaiah Vidal and Orla Walsh.

“We searched the globe to find the best athletes to defend the Million Dollar Mile. You may not know their names, but you’re about to,” executive producers Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan said in a press release. “These ‘Defenders’ combine strength and speed with a level of endurance and mental toughness like you’ve never seen before. They are driven…they don’t like to lose, and when they are chasing runners down on the streets of Los Angeles, it’s truly riveting!”
