  • Ceballos wants to stay at Emirates Stadium and resume his success with the Gunners
  • Ceballos fate will depend on Real Madrid decision
  • Arteta confident of completing all deals before Oct. 6

One of the players who want to permanently move to Emirates Stadium is Dani Ceballos. The 24-year-old just concluded his loan spell with Arsenal F.C. but it is no secret that Spanish midfielder is looking for a new home next season. The Gunners want to take him in but all that is out of their hands.

According to Arteta via Goal, Ceballos had already bared his intention to stay with the Gunners. But the thing here is that while Arsenal would love to keep him, the fate of the Spaniard will depend on what Real Madrid has planned for him.

A permanent move by Ceballos to Arsenal makes sense. A return to Santiago Bernabeu is out of the picture with Los Blancos having no place for the midfielder. Hence, all he can do now is sit down with Real Madrid management to know his options. Ceballos is one of the players who are awaiting their fate.

“He was pretty clear with me as well that his intention was to remain with us, but obviously Real Madrid is involved and I don’t know yet what they want to do with the player,” Arteta said. “But he’s a player that we are interested in because we really saw, in the last few months of the season, what he is capable of bringing to us.”

It was not a smooth journey for Ceballos who struggled under former coach Unai Emery. However, he managed to get his act together under the watch of Arteta. He finished with two goals, two assists and an FA Cup medal this season.

With Ceballos looking good, it makes sense for him to stay at Emirates Stadium. He has a whole lot more to offer and Arteta seems aware of that. But unless Real makes the first move, all the Gunners can do for now is wait.

Arteta is busy trying to assemble a formidable club for next season. So far, Gabriel Magalhaes looms as one of the next key additions to look forward to. The Gunners already acquired Willian Borges da Silva while William Saliba is returning to the club after spending last season on loan to Saint-Etienne according to another report from Goal.

Other potential arrivals include Houssem Aouar and Thomas Partey. With so much on their place, Arteta remains confident that all these deals will be completed by Oct. 6.

"I'm confident we're going to do everything we can together to achieve the target we had [for] before October 6," Arteta said.
