Real Madrid suffered a shock loss on matchday 2 of the Champions League as their recent struggle for goals continued. The Champions League title holders went down 1-0 to CSKA Moscow as their winless and goalless streak continued to three matches.

The La Liga club were favorites going into the match, having dispatched AS Roma 3-0 on matchday 1, but failed to find the net despite dominating the game. Real had 73 perfect of the possession over the 90 minutes and had 26 shots on goal albeit just four being on target.

Goalkeeper Keylor Navas admitted after the game the team are missing Cristiano Ronaldo, who left them in the summer for a new adventure with Juventus in Italy. The Costa Rican goalkeeper wants the club to move on from his exit but admitted it was difficult to replace such a prolific player.

"Cristiano left the bar very high at Real Madrid," Navas said after their shock loss to CSKA on Tuesday, as per Goal.com. "You cannot cover the sun with a finger. … He made many goals while he was here, but it's already the past and we cannot live in the past."

Meanwhile, speaking of Ronaldo, the Portuguese star did not look too happy sitting on the stands as his new team beat Young Boys 3-0 in their second Champions League match to maintain their unbeaten start.

The former Real attacker had to sit out the game owing to the straight red he received during their matchday 1 win over Valencia. The Serie A side showed Ronaldo’s absence had no effect as Paulo Dybala netted a hat trick.

Juventus’ Group H also includes Manchester United whose troubles seem to continue as they struggled to a lackluster draw against Valencia at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

The pressure on Jose Mourinho continues to grow, owing to their struggles in the Premier League and another poor performance from the team saw them get booed off the pitch after the 90 minutes. They managed just four shots on target during the course of the game with Marcus Rashford’s crossbar rattling free kick the closest they came to scoring.

The pressure on the Portuguese manager seems to be coming from all sides with plenty of it coming from United’s former players. Paul Scholes laid into the manager prior to their poor performance against Valencia and admitted his surprise at Mourinho still being at the helm.

“I’m surprised he survived after Saturday,” Paul Scholes said referring to United’s 3-1 loss to West Ham United, as quoted on Fox Sports. “The performance was that bad. The attitude and performance were nowhere near… I think his mouth is probably out of control and I think he’s embarrassing the club.”

“He’s been there two years and he doesn’t have a clue what his best team is. There is no identity and no way of playing anymore,” the United legend added. “It’s plainly obvious to me that there are players in that dressing room who want the manager to go.”
