Chance The Rapper has made a big announcement regarding his The Big Tour. The artist revealed on social media on Dec. 15 that he would be canceling the rest of the tour in order to spend more time with his family.

In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Chance posted his reasons for canceling. "...I’ve decided to cancel the Big Tour. I know it sucks and it’s been a lot of back and forth with reschedules and rerouting, but it’s for the best,” the rapper said. "I’m gonna take this time to be with family, make some new music and develop my best show to date."

The Chicago-based artist also apologized to those who bought a ticket to his show and thanked his fans for showing him support "this past decade." This news comes after months of rescheduling, with the artist ultimately deciding to forgo the tour completely.

Chance first announced his tour in late July after the release of his album “The Big Day.” The tour was supposed to start in mid-September in San Francisco and travel to 35 cities in the U.S. and Canada for what would its first leg. The 26-year-old rapper would eventually postpone the launch to 2020 after the birth of his second child. Chance said that he regretted going on tour so soon after his daughter was born, saying that he “missed some of the most important milestones” in her life.

Even though the tour was rescheduled for a Jan. 15 start date in San Diego, other cities were yet to be announced at the time. This would’ve marked the third tour that the Chicago star would’ve done in his career.
