Oscar dos Santos Emboaba Junior is making big strides in China, justifying his decision to move to the Chinese Super League in 2017 from Chelsea.

The 29-year-old player capped a stint that spanned from 2012-2017 with the Blues, something that had to be done to take care of his entire family.

To his credit, Oscar won two English Premier League titles when he was still with the Blues. Aside from that, he was also part of the Carabao Cup and Europa League conquests.

Overall, the Brazilian midfielder made 203 appearances with the Blues amassing 38 goals in total. All that came to a close when he decided to move to Shanghai SIPG for a reported $82 million.

Oscar was tasked to support his whole family, a reason why he took the offer to play in China.

Seeing how his mother raised them single-handedly after his father died, he took it upon himself to make sure that his family was well taken care of.

However, he still relishes the good times he had with the Blues. And if the opportunity arises, he would love to return to Stamford Bridge before he calls it a career when he spoke to Yellow and Green football.

“I don’t think about leaving China,” he said. “There is a great project for me here--but, to end my career, I would like to return to Chelsea."

Oscar admits that he still recalls those moments when he was still a young footballer and changed the trust that fans had in Brazilians.

He even recalls two moments during his run that he treasures to this day.

“I could take up all this interview talking about the good moments and memories I enjoyed at Chelsea, but I have two others that I appreciate the most: my first hat-trick, against MK Dons, and a game against Arsenal where I did not score but did eight slide tackles. The fans applauded me when I got subbed off and it felt as if I’d scored a hat-trick then too,” he stated.

As his four-and-a-half-year deal with China winds down, Oscar hopes that the chance to once again play for the Blues and even Brazil will come.

Though he will be older by then, it is an option that he is entertaining in the event offers are made.
