Chris Brown may be doting on his daughter in front of the cameras, but his baby momma, Nia Guzman, is claiming that the 26-year-old singer stopped paying child support. The parents of 11-month-old Royalty are reportedly feuding now, with the situation said to be heading to court shortly.

TMZ reported Brown was paying Guzman $2,500 a month in child support. However, those payments allegedly stopped in March when Guzman requested the child support be bumped up to $15,000 a month. A source told the site the singer found the demand to be “ridiculous,” which is why he stopped paying. Meanwhile, Guzman is lawyering up and said to be filing legal documents to request back child support, as well as a sum larger than her initial $2,500 a month.

The reported child-support battle comes just a couple of months after insiders dished about how impressed Brown was with Guzman’s parenting. A source told Hollywood Life that Brown “enjoys watching Nia shower Royalty with love.” The source added, “It reminds him of how Joyce [his mother] use to spoil him rotten when he was a kid.”

Brown and Guzman are not romantically involved, but the pair appeared to be making things work for the sake of their daughter. Brown had asked Guzman to move to Los Angeles from Houston so he could spend more time with Royalty. Since finding out he’s a dad, Brown has shared sweet photographs and videos of his baby girl on Instagram. And he recently brought his daughter to the 2015 Billboard Music Awards show as his date: The proud dad walked the red carpet with Royalty in his arms.
