Chris Hemsworth’s latest action flick “Extraction” has become one of the biggest films to stream on Netflix. Some reports suggest that the movie will attract 90 million viewers after four weeks of release. It is yet to be seen if the numbers turn out to be true or not, but the success of the movie has made Hemsworth quite happy.

Taking it to Instagram, the actor uploaded a video expressing his gratitude toward fans for making the film such a huge success. The “Avengers: Endgame” star also claimed that “Extraction” is the “number one” movie in the world right now and is on course to become Netflix’s “biggest” feature film of all time.

He further stated that everyone who has been associated with the movie is on cloud nine after seeing the massive response. Hemsworth thanked everyone on the behalf of the Russo Brothers (producers), the streaming giant, and Sam Hargrave (director).

“Hey, what’s up guys, I hope you are doing well. I just want to say a massive thank you, everyone, who checked out ‘Extraction’ – you have made it the number one film on the planet right now, and it looks like it is going to be Netflix’s biggest feature film of all time, which is absolutely mind-blowing,” Hemsworth said.

The clip comes a couple of days after the esteemed actor posted a snapshot indicating that the movie is all set to attract 90 million viewers in the first four weeks of its release.

Later in the video, the star briefly addressed the reports of the sequel to the movie. The actor did not give anything away but made it clear that he will be pretty stoked to play Tyler Rake once again.

“There has been a lot of talk and questions about sequels and prequels and all sorts of things, and all I can say is, who knows? But with this amount of support, it is something I will be pretty stoked to jump back into,” Hemsworth said.

“Extraction” chronicles the journey of Tyler (Hemsworth), a mercenary who has taken up a new mission to extract a 14-year-old son of an imprisoned Indian drug lord played by Pankaj Tripathi. The boy, named Ovi Mahajan Jr., has been kidnapped and taken to Bangladesh. But things take a u-turn when Rake finds out that the boy’s father is playing with him and has sent one more mercenary named Saju (Randeep Hooda) to save the boy.

The film also features Golshifteh Farahani as Nik Khan, who brings up the mission to Rake. The main antagonist in the movie is portrayed by Priyanshu Painyuli.

The movie garnered positive reviews from the critics as well as audiences. The film currently holds a score of 67% on review site Rotten Tomatoes.
