Hallmark Channel’s very merry holiday season continues with the newest “Countdown to Christmas” holiday premiere, “Christmas at Castle Hart.” The film, starring Lacey Chabert and Stuart Townsend, premieres Saturday night.

Fans will certainly be excited to see Chabert in this new film, as she has become quite a regular on the network over the years, starring in several projects both on Hallmark and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Among the projects she’s starred in have been “The Crossword Mysteries” films, “A Wish or Christmas,” “Moonlight in Vermont,” “All of My Heart: Inn Love,” “The Sweetest Christmas,” “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” “My Secret Valentine,” “Love on Safari,” “All of My Heart: The Wedding,” “Pride, Prejudice & Mistletoe,” “Love, romance & Chocolate,” “Christmas in Rome,” “Winter in Vail,” “A Christmas Waltz,” “Time for Us to Come Home for Christmas” and “Sweet Carolina.”

As for Townsend, fans will be getting their first introduction to him in a Hallmark film, though he has starred in a series of different shows on other networks. Past roles have included Carl Kolchak on “Night Stalker,” XIII on “XIII: The Series,” Jack McAllister on “Betrayal” and Dr. Samuel Wainwright on “Salem.”

Ali Hardiman(), Aoife Spratt () and Donna Anita Nikolaisen () also star.

So what can fans expect in this special film featuring both a new face and a Hallmark veteran? Let’s find out.

“Newly single and unemployed after losing a waitressing job just before Christmas, responsible Brooke Bennett (Chabert) is convinced by her impetuous sister Margot (Hardiman) to go on a holiday adventure,” a synopsis reads. “They decide to fulfill their father’s lifelong wish and travel to Ireland in search of their Irish roots. When they arrive, Brooke meets Aiden Hart in the local pub and soon discovers that he’s, in fact, the Earl of Glaslough (Townsend).”

Aiden has returned home for the first time in years, despite a cold reception from his sister, Siobhan (Spratt), but when a major event at the family’s estate gets threatened by the event planner dropping out two weeks prior, he springs to the rescue.

“Believing Brooke and Margot to be high profile New York City event planners, Aiden makes introductions and they are hired to take over the prestigious evening,” the synopsis teases. “The trouble is that Margot has misled Siobhan and Aiden into believing that Brooke is Paige Monahan (Nikolaisen)--the very person who just fired them.”

Naturally, as Brooke and Aiden work together, sparks begin to fly, but will she be able to hold on to the man she has grown to love when the deception over her identity comes to light?

“Christmas at Castle Hart” airs Saturday at 8 p.m. EST on Hallmark Channel.
