The holiday season continues on Hallmark Channel with the premiere of their newest holiday film, “The Christmas House.” The star-studded film, part of the “Countdown to Christmas” lineup, stars Jonathan Bennett, Robert Buckley and several other stars.

Fans best know Bennett for his role as Aaron Samuels in the 2004 hit film “Mean Girls,” but he also appeared in Hallmark’s 2018 film “Christmas Made to Order.” Other roles have included ones in the films “A Christmas Kiss II” and “A Dogwalker’s Christmas Tale,” as well as Ethan on the MTV scripted series “Awkward.” Buckley, meanwhile, may be recognizable for his role as Clay Evans on “One Tree Hill” or Major Lilywhite on “iZombie,” but he also previously starred in Lifetime’s “The Christmas Contract” and Hallmark’s “Love in Store.”

The film also stars Sharon Lawrence (“Merry & Bright,” “Poinsettias for Christmas”), Treat Williams ( “Chesapeake Shores,” “Rocky Mountain Christmas,” “Everwood”), Ana Ayora (“Banshee”) and Brad Harder (“Aurora Teagarden Mysteries”).

So what will happen in this star-studded film? Featuring three different but interconnected stories within the same family, the true meaning of Christmas and the spirit of the holiday season will take center stage.

“Working through some difficult decisions, Mitchell family matriarch Phylis (Lawrence) and patriarch Bill (Williams), have summoned their two grown sons—TV star, Mike Mitchell (Buckley) and Brandon Mitchell (Bennett)--home for the holidays,” a synopsis reads. “It is their hope that bringing the family together to recreate the Christmas house, will help them find resolution and make a memorable holiday for the entire family and community.”

However, while their sons will come home to help, they will each be dealing with their own things as well that could affect the celebrations.

“As Brandon and his husband Jake (Harder) make the trip home, they are anxiously awaiting a call about the adoption of their first child,” the synopsis reads. “Meanwhile, Mike reconnects with Andi (Ayora), his high school sweetheart.”

Will the Mitchell family settle everything and have the holiday they planned to?

“The Christmas House” premieres Sunday, Nov. 22 at 8 p.m. EST on Hallmark Channel.
