Rua vs. Jones
Shogun Rua has defeated some good competition yorkblog.com

An epic battle is expected this Saturday night when Mauricio Shogun Rua battles Jon Bones Jones with the Light Heavyweight Championship on the line in Newark, New Jersey.

Rua is known for his strength and aggressive attack. The Brazilian is well trained in Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai, and excels at stomping and soccer kicks.

In his last fight, Rua avenged his loss to Lyoto Machida with a first-round knockout in Montreal to win the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship on May 8th.

It was one of Rua's best victories, which is saying something. Rua has technical knockout wins over Chuck Liddell and Mark Coleman.

But on Saturday he will face among the best light heavyweight fighters in UFC.

Jones is known for his reach, and his wrestling skills. Like Rua, he is trained in Muay Thai, and Jiu-Jitsu.

The Rochester, N.Y.-native is also known for his youth. At 23, he's a young fighter with only 13 fights to his name. Meanwhile, some critics of Jones say he hasn't fought quality competition.

Jones's only loss is to Matt Hamill, and it came on a disqualification for illegal elbow strikes.

The Shogun-Jones battle promises to be a good one.
