Most of the top coins including Bitcoin and Ethereum began the week bullish, leading the global crypto market cap to rise 5.49% to $2.57 trillion at 2.46 a.m. ET.

Bitcoin rose 5.50% in the last 24 hours to trade at $57,256, still far from the record-high it hit on Nov. 9, CoinMarketCap data showed. The top coin is up 0.09% compared to last week.

Leading rival Ethereum surged 7.01% to $4329, which is a 4% rise compared to the previous week. Ethereum started gaining momentum after it hovered below $4000 in the past few weeks. It touched a record high of $4865 on Nov. 10.

Among other top cryptos, Binance Coin rose 4.49% to $609.81. Tether also rose slightly compared to Sunday. While Cardano, Solana, Polkadot and XRP surged in the last 24 hours, all of them dipped tremendously compared to the last week.

Meme crypto Dogecoin rose 2.86% in the last 24 hours and its competitor Shiba Inu rose 3.19%. Compared to the last week, Dogecoin fell 7.44% and Shiba Inu lost 9.85%.

The crypto market is extremely volatile and experts recommend investors not make decisions based on the sudden shift in prices.
