DaBaby is facing backlash after seemingly taking a jab at JoJo Siwa in his newly released track, but the rapper is not bothered by the social media outrage.

DaBaby released his freestyle "Beatbox" remix Friday. In the song, he takes a swing at Siwa when raps, "You a b---h, JoJo Siwa, b---h," while holding up a phone with the 17-year-old YouTube star's photo on the screen.

Fans expressed confusion over why the 29-year-old rapper would diss Siwa and criticized him for targeting the teenager. However, DaBaby found the backlash amusing and made it clear that he was not taking a jab at the Nickelodeon star.

"I love Twitter bruh," he tweeted with laughing emojis after receiving messages from angry social media users. He later added, "I 'Siwa' I’m not like the rest of you n----s."

"I don’t 'Siwa' they so mad either bae," he tweeted in response to a fan.

His tweets caused more uproar, especially among those who thought he was dissing Siwa. DaBaby later explained that the line was simply a play on words because his real name is Jonathan, hence "JoJo," and that he used the word "Siwa" as a twist on "See why."

DaBaby also clarified that there is no beef between him and the teenager. In fact, his daughter is a big fan of Siwa. The rapper tweeted directly at the "Dance Moms" alum to explain the matter and made it clear that he meant no disrespect in his song.

"@itsjojosiwa my 3 year old princess is your number 1 fan. I bought her every product you have out. She think she you," he wrote. "Don’t let em trick you into thinking id ever have a problem with you. My word play just went over their heads. All love on my end shawty, Keep shinning!"

The whole situation received mixed responses from Twitter users. Some didn't buy DaBaby's explanation, while others only found the events hilarious.

"Another rapper under the jojo siwa boot of power. No one messes with jojo siwa cos she finna pull up," one Twitter user wrote.

"The jokes abt the situation funny but some ppl taking it way too serious it’s simple word play," another commented. "Bro literally said 'Jojo see why' which also sounds like jojo siwa, therefore making it a pun/wordplay. Can’t believe ppl r actually getting mad at dababy for this."
