Few teams have higher expectations than the Dallas Cowboys in the 2020 NFL season. Despite missing last year’s playoffs, America’s Team is among the Super Bowl favorites.

FanDuel Sportsbook gives the Cowboys +1700 odds to win Super Bowl LV. That’s sixth in the entire league, putting Dallas behind only the defending champions Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens, San Francisco 49ers, New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Dallas has -225 odds to make the playoffs as either a division winner or a wild-card team. The Cowboys have +180 odds to miss the playoffs.

With -105 odds to become NFC East champions, Dallas is one of two teams in the conference that’s an odds-on favorite to win the division. The Cowboys are just ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles, who have +140 odds to finish in first place.

The over/under win total for Dallas is set at 9.5. The Cowboys are given -150 odds to go over and win at least 10 games. Dallas has +125 odds to win nine games or fewer.

Philadelphia won the NFC East with a 9-7 record in the 2019 season. The Cowboys went 8-8 for a second-place finish. The Eagles beat the Cowboys 17-9 in Week 16, catapulting them to a division title.

The Cowboys have never had a losing record since drafting Dak Prescott in 2016. The quarterback has started every game in his four-year career, going 40-24 in the regular season with two NFC East championships. Prescott and Dallas reached the divisional round of the playoffs in the 2016 and 2018 seasons.

Dallas used the franchise tag to prevent Prescott from hitting free agency in March. The two sides have until July 15 to agree on a multi-year contract.

Amari Cooper returns to the Cowboys with a five-year, $100 million contract. Running back Ezekiel Elliott signed a six-year, $100 million contract with Dallas in September.

Mike McCarthy is entering his first year as the Cowboys’ head coach, replacing Jason Garrett.
