The Dallas Cowboys aren’t in first place after Week 11, but there’s a good chance they’ll be atop the division when the 2018 NFL season comes to an end. Following their 22-19 victory over the Atlanta Falcons, Dallas is the new favorite to win the NFC East.

Dallas leads the way with -180 betting odds at Fanduel Sportsbook. The third-place Philadelphia Eagles have +300 odds, followed by the first-place Washington Redskins at +430. The New York Giants are long shots at +8000.

The Redskins have a precarious one-game lead over Dallas. Alex Smith suffered a broken leg in Sunday’s 23-21 loss at home to the Houston Texans. With Smith done for the year, Colt McCoy is Washington’s new starting quarterback. McCoy went 6-12 for 54 yards and a touchdown Sunday, completing his first pass in an NFL game since 2015.

McCoy will be under center on Thanksgiving when the Redskins visit the Cowboys. Dallas is an early 7.5-point favorite, per OddsShark, for Thursday’s contest. A win for the Cowboys would put them in first place.

The Cowboys have now won two games in a row for the first time this season. Before trading for Amari Cooper, Dallas scored more than 20 points twice in seven games. The Cowboys have surpassed the 20-point mark in two of their three games with Cooper on the roster.

Ezekiel Elliott ranks second in the NFL with 953 rushing yards. Dak Prescott has 10 total touchdowns and one interception in his last five games.

The Dallas defense continues to be among the best in the league after limiting Atlanta’s high-powered offense to just 19 points at home. The Cowboys are third in scoring defense, and they haven’t surrendered 30 points in any game.

Philadelphia looked nothing like the defending champions in Week 11, losing 48-7 to the New Orleans Saints. The Eagles dropped to 4-6 and two games behind the Redskins. Philadelphia was beaten by Dallas at home in Week 10, and they still have two matchups left against Washington.

The Eagles host the Giants in Week 12. Philadelphia is on a two-game losing streak, and New York has won two in a row after starting the season 1-7. The loser of Sunday’s contest will be virtually eliminated from contention in the NFC East.
