Get your dancing shoes because “Dance Moms” is back! The cast of the wildly popular Lifetime series took part in their first Season 6 competition over the weekend. And while the show isn’t expected to return until 2016, we’ve got some scoop on what viewers can expect from episode 1.

As previously reported, Abby Lee Miller and her “Dance Moms” students were scheduled to attend Sheer Talent Special Edition Competition in Glendale, California, Oct. 10. Not only did the cast attend the competition, they dominated it. After failing to take home several first-place wins during Season 5, one “Dance Moms” spoiler site reports the ALDC LA (Abby Lee Dance Company Los Angeles) nearly had a clean sweep at the competition.

According to the site, the ALDC’s specialty group dance, titled “The Girl in the Plastic Bubble,” placed first in the teen division. Abby’s star student, Maddie Ziegler, was listed in the competition’s program but did not compete with her team. As previously reported, Maddie, 13, spent last week in New York City filming “The Book of Henry,” a drama directed by Colin Trevorrow and starring Naomi Watts.

While JoJo Siwa didn’t manage to place with her preteen jazz solo “Own It,” she did receive platinum for her efforts. One of the ALDC dancers did bring home a big win: Season 5 guest star Brynn Rumfallo is said to have competed with the ALDC Saturday, taking home first-place in the preteen lyrical division and first place overall with her routine “The Coronation.”

Not only did Abby’s team walk away winners from their first Season 6 competition, they also beat a longtime rival. Jeanette Cota’s Broadway Dance Academy reportedly placed second in the teen division with their contemporary group number “The Waiting Room.” Fans might recognize “The Waiting Room” as the same name as the ALDC's Season 5 finale group number. According to this sneak-peek video of BDA’s performance, it appears to have the same premise as the ALDC dance.

Nonetheless, Abby appears to be thrilled by the competition results. The coach took to Instagram to gloat about her award-winning students. “Happy #SheerTalentSaturday!!!!!” she wrote. Her post was accompanied by a shot of Maddie, Brynn, 12, Nia Frazier, 14, Mackenzie Ziegler, 11, and JoJo, 12, onstage at the competition.

Prior to the competition, the “Dance Moms” cast filmed a live installment of “Girl Talk: No Moms Allowed." During the special the girls talked about everything from Abby, to rivarlies and, of course, dance.
