The “Party Rock” is officially over. On Monday night, “Dancing With the Stars” eliminated its first couple of Season 20. Which dancing duo couldn’t keep up with the 2015 competition? It was none other than LMFAO singer Redfoo and his partner, Emma Slater. The pair sashayed off the ballroom floor at the end of the Week 2 episode of the hit ABC series.

“I’m just happy that I had this chance to dance,” the extravagantly dressed Redfoo said after his elimination.

A week after scoring low in the Season 20 premiere episode for their uninspiring cha-cha, Redfoo and Slater brought energy and heat to Monday's routine, a jive to the 1979 hit “My Sharona.”

“You went from running on empty to running on plenty!” judge Bruno Toniolo said in acknowledging the vast improvements made by the couple, while Carrie Ann Inaba praised the wild routine. “You killed it! Last week you were all over the place," she cheered. Len Goodman chimed in with his thoughts on the dazzling performance. “What it lacked in technique it made up in energy,” he stated before the judges (who also include Julianne Hough) rewarded 31 points out of a possible 40.

But unfortunately Redfoo’s extraordinary routine couldn't save him and he became the first celebrity eliminated from the 2015 dance series. (Of the new season's 12 dancing pairs, Redfoo and his partner had the lowest combined score of judges' points and viewer votes -- both of which were based on the previous week's performance.)

“I was very surprised and shocked,” the fluffy-haired singer said on “Good Morning America” Tuesday. “All I was thinking about was improving – taking what the judges said the first week and then getting that skill. It was just a total shock.”

His partner, however, sought out the silver lining in their experience together. “There was a big difference between Week 1 and Week 2,” Slater said of the progression her partner made in just seven days. “If you’re going to go out, go out with a bang."
