It’s official — there are just three teams left in the running for the Mirror Ball trophy on Season 23 of “Dancing With the Stars.” ABC viewers were shocked to say goodbye to Jana Kramer and Gleb Savchenko on Monday, proving that this really is anyone’s game.

The final 2016 elimination leaves Laurie Hernandez and Val Chmerkovskiy; James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess; and Calvin Johnson Jr. and Lindsay Arnold in the competition. All three teams have made significant improvement, which they showcased on Monday by revisiting one dance they struggled with at the start of the competition. While none of the teams had perfected their moves, they did prove just how effective their 11 weeks of training had been. Laurie and Val scored the highest on their redemption dance, being awarded at 38 out of 40 for an impressive Paso Doble.

In the second half of the Week 11 episode, the final four teams were asked to embody an experience in a freestyle routine. Jana and Gleb decided to showcase her struggles on “DWTS” in an interpretive dance, but a near-fall from the professional dancer during the routine cost them points and left them on the bottom of the leaderboard.

Calvin and Lindsay followed with a high-energy performance featuring high-flying flips, two treadmills and no shortage of charm from the former Detroit Lions star. Laurie and Val and James and Sharna had a tough act to follow, but managed to wow on their own. All three were awarded perfect scores for their freestyle routines.

At the end of the night Jana and Gleb — who were at one time thought to be serious contenders — were sent packing. Their elimination left “DWTS” fans shocked and completely unsure of which team will take the win on Tuesday. Here are our predictions:

Laurie and Val:

While at least one of their Week 11 routines featured minor missteps, Team Valaur has proven time and time again that they did not come to play in Season 23 of “DWTS.” Laurie has been vigilant in learning routines week after week and Val continues to express his desire to win this for himself and for his partner. As such, we’re excited to see their finale routine and would not be surprised to see a Team Valaur victory announced.

James and Sharna:

Many wrote James off early in the competition, but Sharna has brought something out in him that is unstoppable on the ballroom floor. Together the pair have pulled off a number of perfect scores in Season 23 of “DWTS” and after their finale routine, they’ve proven that they’re serious contenders. Still, we think it’ll be hard to beat Laurie and Val.

Calvin and Lindsay:

If Calvin and Lindsay bring the same type of energy and fun they brought to the Week 11 freestyle, we have no doubt they could take home the Mirror Ball trophy. While they’ve come a long way and proven all those who doubted Calvin’s rhythmic abilities wrong, they are still the final three team with the most improvements to make. As such, we fear they’ll come up just short of winning on Tuesday.

No matter which team makes it, each of the final three has fought long and hard for this and should be proud of their progress. We speculate that the “DWTS” Season 23 finale will be a very close race.
