The “Dancing With the Stars” Season 24 cast said goodbye to two pairs on Monday. After performing one movie-themed solo routine and competing in a dance off, Teams Baby Got Bach (Peta Murgatroyd and Nick Viall) and Blades of Glory (Artem Chigvintsev and Nancy Kerrigan) hung up their dancing shoes.

The pros from both eliminated pairs have been silent on their departure from the show. The amateurs, however, have addressed their fans. Nick and Nancy both shared posts on Instagram expressing their gratitude for having had this opportunity.

The former “Bachelor” star shared a photo of he and Peta from Week 7, recalling his time on “DWTS” as “an amazing experience.” He then thanked the professional ballroom dancer for all her hard work. Nick said little else about his elimination, though he and Peta went out on a high note after performing their best dance yet.

Similarly, Nancy shared a still from an episode of “DWTS” of her standing alongside Artem. In her caption, the former Olympian said she “loved” being on the Season 24 cast and was devastated to be leaving her new friends. She extended a special shout out to her partner, who made the experience what it was for her.

Both eliminated “DWTS” duos performed their hearts out in Week 7. Team Baby Got Bach performed an action packed Argentine Tango that earned them a score of 34 out of 40. Team Blades of Glory wowed with a romantic Tango for 36 out of 40 points.

Neither was spared from having to participate in the dance-off. Team Blades of Glory went head-to-head against Team Golden Giggles (Sasha Farber and Simone Biles) doing a Cha Cha routine and lost. Team Baby Got Bach was narrowly defeated by Team Denim N Diamonds (Bonner Bolton and Sharna Burgess) in a Rumba face-off.

In the final moments of “DWTS” Week 7, Team Baby Got Bach, Team Blades of Glory and Team Lady and the Gramp (Lindsay Arnold and David Ross) were on the chopping block. Hosts Erin Andrews and Tom Bergeron announced that it was the former Chicago Cubs catcher and his pro partner that would be returning for Week 8. The decision shocked viewers, but both eliminated pairs graciously accepted their fate.

This isn’t the first elimination shocker on Season 24 of “DWTS.” In Week 6, fans were in an uproar when Team Maksimum Heat (Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Heather Morris) were eliminated. The pair had just received the first perfect score of the season, but apparently failed to garner enough overall points from the judges and viewers to stay in the game.

The news was made all the more heartbreaking by the fact that Week 6 was Maks’ first dance in nearly four weeks. The dancer injured his calf in Week 2 and had to undergo surgery. He sat out while he recovered, allowing “DWTS” troupe member Alan Bersten to fill his shoes for a while.

Who will be the next “DWTS” Season 24 duo eliminated? Tune in to ABC next Monday at 8 p.m. EDT to find out.
