David Beckham has gotten himself inked once more. The retired soccer player has gotten a new tattoo of an eagle done just under his left armpit – the third in a matter of weeks. This time too, he went back to his favorite tattoo parlor in Hollywood, where he had the etching done by celebrity tattoo artist Mark Mahoney at the Shamrock Social Club.

The 40-year-old gave fans a close-up view of his latest body art, by debuting a photo on Instagram on Wednesday, Mirror UK reported. “Just another... RISE ABOVE @shamrocksocialclub,” he captioned the artsy shot. The eagle’s head is nestled in his underarm and the bird’s wing extends up his back. The father of four is reported to have about 40 tattoos in his enviable collection.

Becks got “Pretty Lady” inked above a pre-existing tattoo of Harper near his neck, to honor his little daughter Harper Seven Beckham. The retired footballer took to Instagram to reveal his latest art on July 27. The piece was also done at the Shamrock Social Club tattoo parlor.

Earlier, Beckham got the number “99” added to his extensive tattoo collection to mark one of the epochal years of his life. It certainly was a memorable year for the former England football captain. Not only did he marry former Victoria Beckham after a two-year romance, it was also the year they welcomed their first child together, Brooklyn, now 16.

Besides, on a professional level, David also enjoyed success in 1999 with Manchester United, his team at the time, leading them to a treble win of the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League.

The family man has previously opened up about his extensive body art, and how each inking has a special meaning to him. His designs include Victoria’s name inked across his right hand, her portrait on his left arm, and the Roman numerals for their wedding anniversary on his right wrist. He also has a number of tributes to his children inked on his body.
