YouTuber David Dobrik released an apology on the platform on Tuesday to address the sexual assault allegations that have recently come to light involving his Vlog Squad, but the internet has made it clear they're disappointed in his under three-minute video.

The video was posted hours after allegations were released on Tuesday from a woman named "Hannah" who said she was raped in 2018 when she was filming a Vlog Squad video that was later posted to Dobrik’s YouTube channel.

As reported by Insider, the woman said she blacked out from the alcohol some of the members gave her and was involved in a group sex act with Dominykas Zeglaitis that she didn’t and couldn’t give consent for.

Another allegation came out in February when Seth Francois, a former Vlog Squad member, said that he was “tricked” into kissing Jason Nash, a 45-year-old who is best friends with Dobrik, in 2017 when he thought he would be kissing a model, Corinna Kopf, for this specific video.

In the apology video Dobrik released, he didn’t directly address either of these allegations but did apologize to Francois directly.

The 24-year-old talked about the fact that he’s no longer friends with many of the people he used to film with, like Zeglaitis, due to their actions.

"I have been really disappointed by some of my friends, and for that reason, I have separated from a lot of them," he said. He also stated that he doesn’t “stand for any kind of misconduct."

Dobrik turned the comment feature off on the video and didn’t post it to either of his main channels.

Since the video's release, many viewers have shared their opinions on what they watched and the response is clear: the apology wasn’t up to par.

"I also believe that actions speak a lot louder than words," Dobrik said in his apology. "You can take my word for it that I'm going to change, but I will also show you and I'll prove to you that mistakes I made before won't be happening again."

To date, Dobrik has over 27 million subscribers on YouTube between his David Dobrik, David Dobrik Too, and VIEWS channels. He has over 5.7 million followers on Twitter, 14.3 million on Instagram, and 26.3 million on TikTok.
