Dax Shepard has debuted a new look that was inspired by one of his daughters.

The actor took to Instagram on Thursday, Sept. 17, to share a video of his transformation where he can be seen jamming to Sara Bareilles' 2019 song, "Armor." In the two-minute clip, the 45-year-old actor takes a hair clipper to one side of his head to match with daughter Lincoln's half-shaved 'do.

"Thank you @sarabareilles forgiving [sic] my daughters an anthem. She requested a specific haircut a few days ago, and now I want to match her :)," he wrote in the caption.

Shepard received a lot of positive feedback from his Instagram followers, including Bareilles, who praised him for being an amazing father to his two daughters — Lincoln, 7, and Delta, 5 — whom he shares with wife Kristen Bell.

"This is the best best best. Thank you for being a kick a-- dad for strong young women! #handmemyhaircut," the singer wrote.

"Yassssss. What a good daddy move," Bareilles added in another comment.

Bell also shared the video on her Instagram account, revealing that Shepard decided to undergo the transformation to twin with Lincoln, who shaved the side of her head last year after her parents gave her their permission.

"I love this man so much. He wanted to twin with our daughter," Bell wrote.

Both Bell and Shepard are open about the hits and misses of being modern-day parents. The "Frozen" actress recently revealed that she lets her daughters drink non-alcoholic beer during their Zoom class.

On Carla Hall's "Say Yes!" podcast, Bell explained that though she knows she'll get criticism for letting her daughters consume non-alcoholic beer, she wasn’t going to let it affect her.

"You're welcome to tell me I'm a terrible parent, I don't care. I'm a great parent, I think," Bell declared. "My husband brought home a six-pack of O'Doul's last night, and my daughters often ask for O'Doul's."

According to Bell, drinking the beverage is a way for the kids to bond with their father.

"The reason for this is because when we had our first child and my husband would put her in the Babybjörn, we'd walk around the neighborhood and he'd pop a nonalcoholic beer in his hand and the baby would paw at it and put the rim in her mouth," she said, pointing out that it has become "a sentimental thing" for their daughters.

The "Good Place" star also revealed that they don't shy away from discussing Shepard's sobriety.

"If anything, it opens up the discussion for why daddy has to drink non-alcoholic beer," she said. "Because some people lose their privileges with drinking. Drinking's not always safe."
