She was secretly trying to figure out a way to prove Ben’s innocence and save his life, even if it meant taking down her grandfather and Xander in the process since she was sure they committed the crime Ben was in prison for. However, Ciara’s secret scheme could not have some unexpected consequences when it comes to what happens to all of the men in her life on the Monday, Jan. 6 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

Ciara (Victoria Konefal) has been actively trying to prove that Victor (John Aniston) and Xander (Paul Telfer) were behind Jordan’s (Chrishell Stause) murder, not Ben (Robert Scott Wilson), who has been in prison for the murder for a year and is at risk of being given the death penalty if they can’t prove his innocence on the NBC soap. However, with the day of Ben’s appeal finally here, the truth about what she has been up to has officially gotten back to Victor and Xander, and now Ciara will have to have a confrontation with her grandfather as a result. Unfortunately, things won’t go well, not just because of the level of betrayal they both feel—but because of Victor’s health.

“Ciara’s confrontation with Victor takes a stunning turn,” spoilers reveal.

A preview clip for the week’s episodes also shows her shaking an unconscious Victor, which implies that something will cause him to have some sort of medical crisis, like a heart attack or a stroke. If that happens and Ciara never got a chance to have him admit he ordered the hit on Jordan and framed Ben, not only will she have to deal with the fact that her grandfather may be dying, but the fact that she will never get the proof she needs to clear the man she loves.

In addition, other actions may occur which also leads to trouble for her and her plan. While Victor focused on confronting her, Xander went to the prison to confront Ben—and if things don’t go well there it could be a strike against the inmate, which, on the day his fate is sealed, could end up being deadly.

Will Ciara’s scheme not only lead to negative consequences for her family, but for Ben as well?

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
