They have been temporarily taking care of Jordan’s baby that Rafe brought to Salem from California, with the intention of giving the child to protective services since Jordan is unable to care for him and refuses to reveal the father’s identity. However, Rafe’s decision to change those plans could have serious consequences for his marriage to Hope on the Thursday, April 11 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

Rafe (Galen Gering) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) have been going through a lot lately when it comes to their marriage, and things have only grown more tense since Rafe brought Jordan’s (Chrishell Stause) surprise baby back from California on the NBC soap. The plan was to give the baby to social services when a proper home became available, but after a conversation with Lani (Sal Stowers), Rafe now thinks holding onto the baby himself until Jordan is well enough to raise him again is key. However, when he decides to tell Hope, it may not go well.

“Rafe shares with Hope his decision to take care of baby David,” spoilers reveal.

Hope has been struggling to accept that Rafe will seemingly always go to help his exes out, especially since he’s gone to help both Jordan and Sami (Alison Sweeney) in recent months, and a part of her feels like he prioritizes them over her. To make matters worse, Ted (Gilles Marini) has declared his love for her and been pressuring her to leave her marriage so they can be together instead. Thus far, she has resisted, after Rafe reveals his plans, it could be the push she needs to embrace something new.

If Rafe insists on raising David and Hope says she can’t support it, it could be the thing that rips their marriage apart for good—meaning both of them will once again be unhappy, and things could prove to be complicated in Salem as well because of it.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
