Rob Liefeld shades Disney by uploading a fan art of Deadpool killing Mickey Mouse on social media.

Liefeld recently shared a very shocking artwork in an Instagram Story that showed Deadpool holding a dead Mickey Mouse by the tail. Disney’s most popular character appeared to have been shot to the head in the picture. According to a report, it could be his way of expressing his disappointment over the lack of progress being made on “Deadpool 3.”

The first two “Deadpool” movies did great. Disney now owns the “Deadpool” film rights following its purchase of the 20th Century Fox’s entertainment asset last year. Unfortunately, the studio already said that it has no plans to reboot “Deadpool.” There is also no announcement as to when the Merc With a Mouth will return to the big screen.

Liefeld already said that Marvel Stutios has no plans of making another “Deadpool” film. According to him, “Deadpool 3” was not in the cards.

In a past interview, Liefeld was asked about the possibility of a “Deadpool/X-Force” movie now that the characters are under Disney/MCU. But his response wasn’t very enthusiastic.

“Know what their plan for Deadpool is right now? Goose egg. Zero. Zero!” Liefeld said

The first and second “Deadpool” movies were released in 2016 and 2018. If Marvel Studios were really considering “Deadpool 3,” it would still take four years for it to be released.

At present ,MCU’s Phase 4 has already been plotted. The films in line for release include Scarlett Johansson’s “Black Widow,” “The Eternals,” and “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.” The lineup didn’t include any “X-Men” or mutant-related movies.

“I don’t know. Here’s what people don’t want to hear, but thank God I’m a realist. I feel like Deadpool, the movies, they’ve set sail,” Liefeld continued.

“We got two brilliant movies, and we live in a culture that always looks forward because all they’re ever selling us is ‘next, next, next.’ It’s the fever.”

Meanwhile, “Deadpool” star Ryan Reynolds previously confirmed “Deadpool 3” during his interview on “Live with Kelly and Ryan.” The actor said that a third installment will be a win-win for everyone. However, he admitted that he was also not sure of the timeline.

“It's just all so new with it being over at Marvel now, and, you know, figuring out the ins and outs as much as I can, from where I sit. We'll see,” he said.
