Demi Lovato is currently having the time of her life, as she vacations in the exotic location of Bora Bora. The singer recently shared a couple of gorgeous photos with her 71 million Instagram followers, which she cheekily captioned:

"Just left what’s possibly my favorite place on Earth with my best friends. Bora Bora is a literal heaven on Earth. I may be posting a lot of pics in the next few days. I’m sorry in advance."

The Confident singer not only appeared cool for the summer but also steamy hot as she sexily posed in a barely-there leopard-print bikini, in front of the blue waters in French Polynesia.

Last year, the 26-year-old singer opened up about her struggle with overcoming body image issues. In a post shared by her in January, 2018, she admitted dealing with an eating disorder years back.

Lovato proudly wrote “I’ve decided I’m letting go of my perfectionism and embracing freedom from self-criticism. Learning to love my body the way it is is challenging but life-changing. Today I’m feeling strong. You all can do it too. It IS possible.”

Well, from being insecure about her body to flaunting it in front of the world confidently, just see how far Demi has come. A year can certainly make a hell lot of difference.

And yes, over the course of this one year, Demi’s transformation is pretty evident. Her Instagram account is proof of the same.

Back in March, she slammed Inquisitr writer Fabio Magnocavallo, who called her ‘fuller’ in one of his articles. She commented in her Instagram story "I am more than my weight. Too many people today base their ideal body weight off of what others tell us we should look like or weigh,"

She further added "Articles like these only contribute to that toxic way of thinking. If you're reading this: Don't listen to negative diet culture talk. You are more than a number on a scale. And I am more than a headline about my body shape".

Later, after an exchange with the writer, she did forgive him and concluded with one more message to her fans: "Don't forget to tell yourself how beautiful and worthy you are of a happy and healthy life".

Kudos to Demi for standing up for herself, in the present world, where everyone is trying to get ‘that perfect body’ rather than embracing their true self. Demi is certainly a role model to all.
