A personification of strength and courage, that’s what Demi Moore is. Just as when you thought it was all beds and roses for her, the “Ghost” actress openly admitted to the public how horrifying her past experiences were.

Long before Moore’s “Inside Out,” the 56-year-old actress revealed how she experienced hitting rock bottom. Back in 2018, during her acceptance speech at the 29th Annual Awards Peggy Albrecht Friendly House Luncheon, where she received the award Woman of the Year, she reportedly described how she plummeted into a self-destructive path.

Although the reason it happened wasn’t clear at that time, she attributed her road to recovery with divine intervention. It may sound harsh and hard to believe, but Moore, despite her success as an artist, felt she was not good enough. Good thing the world still has good Samaritans around. According to Moore, these people, who she barely knew, stood up for her and gave her the opportunity to fix herself before she loses and destroys everything.

More than three decades ago, Moore reportedly checked in to rehab to fix her drug and alcohol addiction. Nearly three decades thereafter, she went back to for addiction and eating disorder following a hospitalization.

Moore believed in certain moments one’s life that would mold a person to what her or she is today and bring direction to what seemingly a confusing path. Moore did not shy from giving due credit to those people who helped and believed in her.

Just as when you thought that was the worst experience she ever had, think again. According to People, Moore’s memoir will be out soon and she accounted several of her troubling experiences during childhood.

During her interview at “Good Morning America,” she opened up about the tragic rape incident when she was 15. Her rapist told her that her mother consented the act in exchange for $500.

After knowing the disturbing information, Moore believed that the transaction was not up-front. Although, she recognized that her mother gave access to the culprit. Moore’s twisted childhood was reportedly documented in her memoir. Not only that her parents were both alcoholics, she grew up in an environment surrounded by infidelities and loud fights.

Moore also found out that her father was not his biological dad. In addition, her mom had several attempts to commit suicide via pill overdose.

Moore admitted that her past was a life-changing experience but it was a done deal. Those chapters are now closed.

Moore appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Tuesday to promote her book, where she confessed her current relationship status, Yahoo! Entertainment reported. Moore is currently not dating after her failed relationship with Bruce Willis and Ashton Kutcher, and that is by choice.
