KEY POINTS

  • Starfire Protocol allows for a near-endless supply of Fusion Grenades
  • The build also provides constant uptime for Empowering Rifts
  • Grenade Kickstart will not work with exotics that provide multiple ability charges

Among the Solar 3.0 builds “Destiny 2: Season of the Haunted” players have managed to discover so far, Warlocks with Fusion Grenades appear to have the best damage potential out of all of them.

The ordinary handheld Solar sticky grenade receives a major buff when used with one of the new Warlock aspects, and it can be boosted to astronomical levels with some of the class’ unique exotic armor pieces.

Here’s an overview of what might be the best Solar Warlock grenade build in “Destiny 2: Season of the Haunted.”

Aspects, Fragments and Mods

Touch of Flame is mandatory for this build because of its effect that doubles the number of Solar Grenade explosions. Either Heat Rises or Icarus Dash can be used in the secondary slot, though the former will be more useful in PvE, which is where this build excels at.

The core fragments for this build are Blistering and Ashes. The former grants grenade energy every time a Solar Ignition is triggered, while the latter makes these Ignitions happen more frequently through increased Scorch stacks for every effect that can apply it.

For mods, use the following:

  • Explosive Wellmaker
  • Elemental Ordnance
  • Melee Wellmaker
  • Well of Life
  • Momentum Transfer

This will help string together Fusion Grenades with Incinerator Snap to continuously loop the two abilities together. To get the most out of these mods, consider using Ember of Torches for easy access to the Radiant buff, or Ember of Wonder for orb generation.

Recommended Gear

Starfire Protocol is required for this build to work. It grants one extra Fusion Grenade charge while also increasing its regeneration rate while dealing weapon damage to enemies with an Empowering Rift active.

With the mod and class setup listed above, this build will let players throw back-to-back Fusion Grenades while keeping their Empowering Rift active indefinitely.

Any weapon will work with this loadout, so feel free to pick from any meta PvE picks like the Stormchaser or Unforgiven from the new Duality dungeon, which can be easily completed alone with this build. Just don’t forget to use the Classy Restoration mod from the seasonal artifact for unlimited on-demand healing.
