Bindi Irwin seemingly threw some shade at her estranged grandfather Bob on social media after the latter reportedly snubbed her engagement to Chandler Powell.

Earlier this week, the “Dancing With the Stars” Season 21 winner took to Instagram to praise and thank her mother, Terri Irwin, for the help she’s been extending to her and Chandler while they prepare for their wedding.

Bindi shared a screenshot of Terri’s tweet about the bouquet of flowers she gave her mother. “After an incredibly happy day of wedding planning, beautiful [Bindi] surprised me with a gorgeous bouquet. I love you so much, Bindi,” the wife of the late Steve Irwin wrote in her tweet.

The bride-to-be couldn’t help but be thankful to her mom for the assistance she’s been providing them ahead of their nuptials. In her caption for her post, Bindi thanked her “beautiful mum for being the most amazing support.”

“She has always reminded me to follow my heart. [Chandler] and I are both so blessed to have her in our lives during this special new chapter,” the 21-year-old conservationist added.

Bindi’s post comes weeks after her grandfather refused to congratulate her and Chandler over their engagement. When he was interviewed about his granddaughter’s engagement, the 80-year-old founder of Australia Zoo said, “My thoughts have nothing to do with any of it.”

He also made it clear at the time that he is not “the slightest bit interested in it.” When asked if he would like to attend Bindi’s wedding, he firmly said that he wants “nothing to do with any of it.”

It’s no secret that Bob has been feuding with Bindi’s family for years now. He resigned from their family zoo and decided to distance from it in 2008, two years after Steve’s passing. In 2015, he publicly confirmed that they were no longer on speaking terms.

Bob’s reported snub to Bindi’s engagement and upcoming wedding caused more tension in the family. After learning about Bob’s interview, Terri voiced her disappointment because for her, Steve’s father couldn’t be happy for her daughter like the rest of the family.

Last week, Bob sang a different tune when he was interviewed once again regarding their family’s feud. He said that there’s been an “innocent mistake” in his previous interview. He then extended his well-wishes to Bindi and Chandler and expressed his approval of their wedding.
