Meghan Markle’s girls trip to the U.S. has quite a price tag. The Duchess of Sussex reportedly stayed in the penthouse at the Mark Hotel, which also happens to be the most expensive hotel room in the entire U.S.

In September, Bloomberg reported that at $75,000 per night, the penthouse at the Mark Hotel is the most expensive hotel suite in America.

However, the Duchess of Sussex likely did not be picking up the tab. Tatler reports that Serena Williams, who helped plan the baby shower, is footing the bill.

They certainly had enough room to throw the intimate baby shower in the hotel suite. The 10,000 square foot space includes five bedrooms, six bathrooms and two wet bars. The Mark Hotel’s website notes that the living room could be converted into a grand ballroom for events. The space has 26-foot ceilings, a fireplace and is conveniently located near one of the wet bars.

The penthouse, which spans the 16th and 17th floors of the building, also includes a large rooftop terrace (2,500 square feet) where the Duchess and guests like Abigail Spencer and Gayle King could look out at Central Park and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. However, with the snow, they may have wanted to stay cozy by one of the four fireplaces.

The decor seems to fit Meghan’s style as well. The former actress is known for her chic minimalist style and her preference for neutral tones. The penthouse was designed by French interior designer Jacques Grange.

Though the penthouse is spacious, reports suggest that guests won’t be using that much of the space. The baby shower reportedly kept the guest list small with only about 15 people invited to the affair while Meghan’s husband, Prince Harry, stayed behind in London.

Meghan is rumored to have another baby shower planned for her friends across the pond. She’ll give birth to her first child this spring.
