It’s been months since Kanye West released “The Life of Pablo,” but it seems there’s still bad blood between Taylor Swift and him due to the album’s controversial lyrics.

The rapper’s wife, Kim Kardashian, sat down with GQ magazine, where she was asked about the song “Famous,” on which West makes reference to Swift — rapping that he believed the two may have sex and taking credit for her notoriety. When the song was released, it was reported that the “Out of the Woods” singer was extremely offended, while West, 39, claimed he ran it by her before the album’s release and had gotten the OK to include it on the album. Kardashian, 35, backed her hubby in the interview, bashing Swift for playing “the victim.” She told GQ that the pop star was lying about not approving the lyric, adding that she feels West has a target on his back.

“She totally knew that that was coming out. She wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn’t,” the mother of two said. “I swear, my husband gets so much s--- for things [when] he was really doing proper protocol and even called to get it approved.”

Swift’s reps confirmed that West had reached out to the Billboard Music Award-winner prior to the release of “The Life of Pablo;” however, they claimed the call was not about approving the lyric. Instead, her rep said that the Chicago native asked her to share “Famous” on her Twitter account and that she was not told that “I made that b---- famous” would be included on the song.

“Kanye did not call for approval but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account,” her rep told Entertainment Tonight at the time. “She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that b---- famous.’”

“The Life of Pablo” was released in February. The album remained a Tidal exclusive for several weeks before being made available on iTunes/Apple Music and Spotify. While it’s been more than five months since the project was released, West is far from done tweaking his work. On Wednesday, the rapper added a new song, titled “Saint Pablo,” to “The Life of Pablo.” The addition came just one day after West announced the “Saint Pablo Tour,” which kicks off in August.
