The internet has been buzzing about Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid non-stop since the Jan. 28 release of his single "Pillowtalk." But could their be some truth to the buzz?

After witnessing their steamy kisses in the video, which is Malik's first release as a solo artist, many fans began speculating that they might be a couple. Malik, 23, skated around questions about Hadid, 19, initially, but it seems he's ready to come clean. In an interview on the "Zach Sang and the Gang" radio show Malik was asked if it was "cool" to have been able to include his girlfriend in the "Pillowtalk" video. Rather than correct the interviewer, he gave a direct answer, cementing the fact that he and Hadid are an item. Malik said it was "a lot of fun" shooting the video, adding that it was a new experience for both of them.

"Yeah, that was cool. It was something different. We enjoyed it, it was fun. Had a lot of fun on set," he said.

"Pillowtalk" is currently on track to take the No. 1 spot on the Official Singles Chart. According to NME, Official Chart Company data released on Monday showed the single had more than 20,000 in combined sales ahead of it's competition. The song already took No. 1 on the iTunes charts in around 60 countries, Daily Mail reported.

Malik was first asked about his ties to Hadid on Jan. 29, just one day after the premiere of his music video. While chopping it up with Zane Lowe of Apple Music's Beats 1 (via Us Weekly), Malik was put in the hot seat about their on-camera chemistry. His answer, unfortunately, left much to the imagination. Lowe asked whether or not Malik and Hadid were "in a relationship," to which he answered "yeah." Malik then backtracked saying "we're good friends," which further confused his fan base.
