With the speculated release date of the so-called Apple iPad mini approaching, rumors surrounding the device are also getting traction day-by-day. Following reports saying that Apple had ordered some of its Asian component suppliers to produce more than 10 million iPad minis for the last quarter of this year, another report hit the web Tuesday that cited an industry analyst saying that the smaller iPad’s design could outclass the new third generation iPad.

On the heels of a last week’s report claiming that mass production of the iPad mini has begun already at Apple's suppliers in China, the Wall Street Journal came up with yet another report Monday, which said that the Cupertino tech giant had already ordered “some component suppliers to Apple in Asia, including in Taiwan” to produce more than 10 million iPad minis for the fourth quarter of 2012.
