Benedict Wong opened up about his character's dynamic with Doctor Strange in Marvel's highly anticipated upcoming movie, "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness." Moreover, he also changed the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase Four (that includes movies released between 2021 to 2023) and renamed it "Phase Wong."

"I call it Phase Wong," the 50-year-old actor told Empire Magazine for May 2022 issue, SlashFilm reported Tuesday. "It's a nice, interesting shift. Wong has taken on a new role, and that dynamic changes between them [Wong and Strange] both."

Looking at the recent comment and the official trailer featuring Wong, fans can expect a new dynamic between Doctor Strange and Wong (he played the character named Wong in the movie).

While the character is known for being Doctor Strange’s sidekick, the dynamic between the two might change as the multiverse can introduce a new Wong meeting Doctor Strange. In the trailer released last month, Wanda Maximoff (played by Elizabeth Olsen) could be seen turning against Doctor Strange.

Now, it would be interesting to watch Wong’s new role in the upcoming installment. In case, you have missed the trailer, watch here:

Fans were also speculating that Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool might appear in this sequel but the actor confirmed last month that he is not in the movie. However, fans refused to believe him and think that he might make a surprise appearance.

Wong's character was first featured in movies with the first installment, "Doctor Strange," which was dropped in 2016. Later, he appeared in other Marvel movies like "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Avengers: Endgame" alongside Doctor Strange.

Wong's character was first introduced in Marvel comics, "Strange Tales #110," which was released in July 1963. In the comic books, the character portrayed a skilled martial artist and a master of magic. Wong was co-created by comic book writers Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.

Besides "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness," Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase Four is all set to release movies like "Thor: Love & Thunder," "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," "The Marvels," "Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3" and "Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania."

"Fantastic 4" and "Blade" are also expected to premiere in 2023, however, release dates are yet to be announced. Fans can expect these two movies to be released in Phase Five.
