Kate Middleton may or may not regret her marriage with Prince William.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been married for eight years already. They had an on-again, off-again relationship for almost a decade before they tied the knot. Prince William and Middleton have been together for almost two decades.

So, does Middleton regret marrying a royal prince? According to Amanda Harding, even if Middleton is a natural in front of the camera and deals with the obsessive attention with grace and dignity, she still wants a quieter and more private life.

Journalist Angela Mollard also revealed the same thing on New Idea’s podcast “Royals.” Mollard said that Middleton prefers to settle in their home in Norfolk. The mother of three reportedly wants to spend her life in the countryside, so at present, she is not living her dream life.

“She keeps wanting them to go up to Anmer Hall in Norfolk,” Mollard confessed. “I think if she had her dream come true they would all live up there and they wouldn’t actually have to be in London.”

Unfortunately, due to Prince William’s royal duties and their increasing role in the royal family, the couple has to stay in London. Living a low-key life in Norfolk, which Middleton really wants, is impossible.

Despite this, Middleton might still choose to live the current life she has because, without Prince William, she won’t have three beautiful children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. In addition, aside from access to plenty of cash, she is set to be the future queen consort.

“In short, the tradeoff of sharing your whole life with the public can be worth it if you’re strong enough. And Kate Middleton might be just the woman for the job,” Harding concluded.

Prince William and Middleton’s marriage has been tested earlier this year when some insiders claim that Prince William cheated on her with a family friend, Rose Hanbury. Middleton reportedly confronted her husband and the duke just laughed it off because it was not true.

According to another source, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are not splitting. However, the rumors have rocked the palace and affected the couple’s relationship.
