President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are looking for a “premium property” in Florida, a report says, amid speculations that they are going to live in Mar-a-Lago after he vacates his post.

Trump and wife Melania have been in talks with brokers as they eye properties in Florida, an unnamed source claimed to Page Six.

“Melania and Trump are talking to brokers about buying a house in Palm Beach, or nearby, as the living space at Mar-a-Lago isn’t big enough, and there could be some potential conflicts,” the insider said.

The outlet noted that Trump and Melania have been staying at their Mar-a-Lago residence for the holidays. Another source told Page Six that the first lady has been redecorating the house, “where they have separate bedrooms, sitting rooms and offices.”

The space spans 2,000 square feet and is currently being renovated, according to People. An anonymous source told the magazine that Trump’s apartment, which used to belong to Mar-a-Lago estate creator Marjorie Merriweather Post, will be expanded and modernized. It was purchased by the president in the ‘80s

According to the report, even though people close to Trump think that the family will spend a lot of time at Palm Beach, Mar-a-Lago will be the “centerpiece of their plans” because of how welcomed they feel in the place.

“The town is not aware of the president’s intent in this regard and has no evidence to support said claim,” a town manager in Palm Beach said.

On top of this, Trump and Melania are allegedly looking for a private school for their son Barron in Palm Beach. Another insider claimed that the first couple was looking for a home near Mar-a-Lago and their alleged plan is to initially stay there.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner bought a $30 million lot at Florida's Indian Creek Island, known also as the Billionaire’s Bunker. They had been looking at properties in Miami and Palm Beach before making the purchase, the report said.

Specifically, Ivanka and her husband purchased Lot 4 of the gated area, thought to be one of the most secure places in the state.
