Time to get excited, Nintendo fans. Nintendo’s “Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze” launched its trailer Thursday during a Nintendo Direct presentation. The side-scrolling platform hit shelves in Japan then and will reach North America and Europe on Feb. 21.

“Tropical Freeze” was scheduled for release in December, but was delayed by the gaming giant in October. The Wii U game will include familiar characters Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong and Cranky Kong. The storyline begins during Donkey Kong’s birthday celebration, when a group of anthropomorphic animal Vikings are discovered sailing toward Donkey Kong Island. The Viking leader releases a strong icy wind that freezes the entire island and knocks Donkey Kong and his companions to a faraway island. Donkey Kong must then travel across six islands, battling a plethora of enemies, to reclaim his home.

“Tropical Freeze” was announced during Nintendo’s E3 2013 Nintendo Direct presentation last June. Super Mario Bros. 2 producer Kensuke Tanabe is producing the game. Retro Studios and Monster Games helped develop the title.
