On June 22, 2012, Jerry Sandusky was found guilty on 45 of the 48 charges of sexual abuse of young boys over a 15-year period. Despite the fore mentioned facts, Dottie Sandusky, the former Penn State football coach's wife, says she still loves her husband.

"I love my husband," Dottie Sandusky said to members of the media on Thursday, July 27. "He's not who they say he is."

Sandusky appeared before the media in Bellefonte, Penn., not too far from where Sandusky served as an assistant football coach under Joe Paterno.

The convicted child sex offender is awaiting sentencing after being convicted of on 45 charges of molesting 10 boys. According to many legal experts, Sandusky will almost certainly spend the rest of his life in prison.

In 2011, following a two-year grand jury investigation, Sandusky was arrested and charged with 52 counts of sexual abuse of young boys. Dottie Sandusky has stayed by her husband since the charges against him by posting bail and attending court proceedings.

Even in light of all the damning evidence, Sandusky issued a statement saying her husband was innocent of child molestation and that his accusers were lying.

In addition, she even testified in court that she remembered most of the men who told the jury that the coach had abused them, but denied knowledge that Sandusky had ever behaved inappropriately with them as boys.

Jerry Sandusky has also long denied the charges, claiming to have never acted inappropriately with the boys he took to their home. He did, however, acknowledge that he showered with the boys.

That specific incident resurfaced in the news recently when the shower assault victim came forward and identified himself to attorneys.

Still identified only as Victim 2, the boy whom assistant coach Mike McQueary saw being molested in the Penn State showers by Sandusky in 2001 has retained lawyers and is planning to file suit against the University.

Prosecutors have stated that Sandusky abused some boys in his home, while other incidents took place on Penn State's campus.
