Camilla Parker Bowles will be named queen consort when Prince Charles ascends the throne.

And as the new queen, she will be entitled to wear one of Queen Elizabeth’s most precious crowns. In the book “The Other Side of the Coin,” royal author Angela Kelly said that Prince Charles’ wife will wear Her Majesty’s diadem because she is entitled to it.

“Every Queen and Queen Consort from the reign of William IV onwards has worn the Diadem,” she said.

Meanwhile, even though it is guaranteed that Camilla will wear a crown as queen, her future royal title hasn’t been confirmed. Clarence House previously said that Prince Charles’ wife will be known as princess consort.

However, royal experts are convinced that the heir to the throne would insist on his wife getting the title of queen. In the book “The Duchess: The Untold Story,” royal author Penny Junor said that Prince Charles would want Camilla to get the full title because of her dedication to him.

“I have little doubt that Charles is so proud of Camilla and so grateful for everything she has done for him and sacrificed for him, that he will insist she gets the full title. Friends and family know it is not something she wants - she has said as much. She is in this position because of her love for the man, not because of her desire to be anything more than a support to him,” Junor said.

The royal expert added that Camilla actually dreads the day that her husband will become king, and she doesn’t want to think about it. At the end of the day, the decision on what title she will get will depend on Prince Charles after he consults with other experts.

Lord Norton of Louth told Express that Camilla will be known as queen consort after Her Majesty dies and Prince Charles ascends the throne.
