'DWTS'' Cheryl Burke Weighs In On Gleb Savchenko, Chrishell Stause Romance Rumors

Cheryl Burke has shared her thoughts on the speculation that Gleb Savchenko had an affair with his "Dancing with the Stars" partner Chrishell Stause prior to announcing his split from wife Elena Samodanova.

The pro dancer explained that the romance rumors often come with the reality TV territory on the Tuesday episode of iHeartRadio's "Pretty Messed Up" podcast.

"This is the whole thing. When you’re in this world of Hollywood, you do reality shows and this stuff does happen," she said on her podcast with "DWTS" partner A.J. McLean.

"People dry hump and people go, ‘Oh! They’re having sex.’ But when you see a sex scene in a movie, do you think they’re actually really having sex?" she explained, referring to Stause and Savchenko's steamy last performance on the ABC show, in which they used a bed as a prop.

She didn't confirm if there is anything between Savchenko and the "Selling Sunset" star beyond friendship but said that this time "can't be easy" for all parties involved.

"I’m not saying anything has happened with them. It’s just a big deal because Gleb and his wife are separating," Burke explained.

"I’ve known them for a while," she said of Savchenko and his estranged wife. "They’re both in the competitive dance world scene. I’ve known his wife as well and their beautiful kids, and I send my love to Gleb and his family. This can’t be easy for anybody right now, especially when you have kids involved."

Savchenko and Samodanova announced their split over the weekend through their respective Instagram accounts. However, the latter later claimed that the "DWTS" dancer had "multiple affairs" and an "ongoing infidelity" when they were together.

"After 14 years of marriage, and multiple affairs, I've decided enough is enough. Gleb and I have created a family and multiple businesses together," she told People.

"But apparently, it just wasn't enough to keep our marriage strong," she added. "Gleb's ongoing infidelity and a recent inappropriate relationship has created turmoil in our marriage and absolutely torn our family apart."

Savchenko immediately shut down his wife’s allegations and insisted that he and Stause were just friends and nothing more.

"While I will continue to respect the privacy of my family, I will not stand by and allow false accusations and internet rumors go unaddressed," he said in his statement.

"My relationship with Chrishell was and remains strictly platonic," he continued. "Our friendship during our season on DWTS was not the reason for our split. Elena and I have had longstanding issues in our marriage. This has been an ongoing situation between Elena and I paired with poor timing."

Stause also released a statement denying any involvement in the couple's split. She stressed that she also went through a public breakup with ex-husband Justin Hartley last year and would not want it to happen to anyone else.
