The competition has officially begun on Season 29 of “Dancing with the Stars,” but one team will be forced to hang up their dancing shoes an say goodbye to the competition after week two’s performances come to an end.

The second week of competition is set for the 15 teams aiming to win the show’s first Mirrorball trophy being awarded during a pandemic (and with a new host), and after the first week of competition, it’ pretty clear that the judges aren’t going to be taking it easy on these teams who are risking it all to dance.

However, while some stars, like Skai Jackson and Alan Bersten and Justina Machado and Sasha Farber, who topped the leader board on the ABC show seem more likely to make it through to the next week, some seem more likely than others to be destined to say goodbye after just two weeks. Three teams, in particular, seem to have fates that seem less certain when it comes to making it much further.

While scores for week 2 and viewer votes will still need to be factored in prior to the first elimination and could change things, there are definite signs which seem to suggest that one of these pairs may be cha cha’ing their way out of the ballroom.

After scoring only 13 points for her Tango, “Selling Sunset” star Chrishell Stause and Gleb Savchenko (#TeamSellingIt) could see themselves saying goodbye to the ballroom if they don’t improve greatly on their Rumba. However, while their score kept them near the bottom of the judges’ leader board, they could still be saved another week thanks to the fact that other teams still did worse than they did—and the fact that Chrishell may have a strong fan base.

Charles Oakley and Emma Slater (#TeamOakieDokie), who only scored 12 points for their Salsa, have a potentially bigger chance of being eliminated. While he is an NBA legend, he likely doesn’t have quite the same following some of the other celebrities competing do. Without a larger fan base going in, he could see himself not getting the votes needed—even if he does considerably better when he performs his Cha Cha.

However, the team most likely to be eliminated could be none other than the season’s biggest surprise celeb—Carole Baskin. Carole and Pasha Pashkov (#TeamAreYouKittenMe) tied with Lamar Odom from Season 28 for the lowest ever debut score on the show when they got only 11 points for their Paso Doble. Coupled with the fact that there doesn’t seem to be a lot of people supportive of Baskin on social media, her Viennese Waltz to “What’s New Pussycat” could be her final dance.

Of course, the show is nothing if not surprising most of the time, as evidenced by Sean Spicer and Joe Amabile’s improbable Season 27 and Season 28 runs.

“Dancing With the Stars” will air on Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
