Eden Sassoon is leaving “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” after one challenging season. She made her debut in Season 7, but wasn’t well-received by longtime stars.

Since news of her departure broke, Eden’s been receiving nothing but love from fans. She’s repeatedly tweeted that leaving “RHOBH” has been freeing, calling this post-show chapter “A NEW BEGINNING.” Eden added that she’s “grateful” for having been cast in Season 7.

Eden announced her exit from “RHOBH” in a Facebook post, claiming she wanted to be the one to break the news to everyone. She claimed that leaving the show made her feel “free” and able to be her true self. Eden told fans she learned “huge life lessons” from the show, but did not delve any deeper.

She ended her announcement with a special shoutout the the “RHOBH” fans who “resonate with my #spirit.” To them, she promised to always be around in some capacity, again referencing, “another chapter.” She didn’t say what she’d be doing now that she’s not on the show, but used a number of hashtags that suggest she’ll be focusing on her son, staying sober, her hair salon and pilates studio.

It’s not clear why Eden was removed from the Bravo show’s cast, though it seems likely it’s related to the drama that unfolded between she and the rest of the stars — namely Kim and Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna and Dorit Kemsley. Eden getting the ax may also have to do with the fact that despite the drama, some found her storylines rather boring.

She spent much of Season 7 at odds with Kyle after repeating Lisa R.’s claim that sister Kim was no longer sober and was “close to death.” This also affected her relationship with Lisa R., who became furious after the drama came back to bite her. She then feuded briefly with Dorit after repeating a comment she made suggesting that Lisa R.’s behavior was “induced.”

Eden’s love life also came under fire during Season 7 of “RHOBH.” In an attempt to open up to her co-stars, Eden revealed that she was seeing a man she’d met online. When she announced that she was meeting up with him and sharing a hotel with him, the cast began speculating that she might be getting catfished, which didn’t sit well with Eden.

There’s been no word on when Season 8 of “RHOBH” will air. The show wrapped in April, which means it may be a while before viewers head back to Beverly Hills. The network also has yet to share any news about which ladies will be returning to the show for the next season.

Fans of the show have been vocal in their support of some cast members, calling for others to be removed from the show. Many “RHOBH” viewers expressed a hope that Camille Grammer — who was once on the cast and made several appearances in Season 7 — would return next season. Camille hasn’t responded to these pleas, so you’ll just have to sit tight and wait for an official announcement.

The show has been picked up for Season 8, which is good news for “RHOBH” fans. Who would you like to see on the cast when the show returns?
