KEY POINTS

  • Sleepbone Arrows can be used to lull enemies to sleep, opening them up to critical hits
  • Not all enemies can be affected by the Sleep status
  • Players will need Thin Beast Bones and Trina’s Lily to craft Sleepbone Arrows

The Sleepbone Arrow is one of the new projectile types introduced in “Elden Ring” that can be used to inflict the Sleep status on certain enemies.

These arrows can be crafted with the Crafting Kit purchased from Kale at the Church of Elleh using materials that are somewhat hard to find, but only if players have the Fevor’s Cookbook (2) in their inventory.

Fevor’s Cookbook (2) can be bought from a hidden merchant at Liurnia. From the Main Academy Gate grace, turn left and head toward the foliage-covered bridge guarded by wolves. The merchant should be near the South Raya Lucaria Gate resting by a bonfire.

After purchasing the cookbook, players will need three Thin Beast Bones and one Trina’s Lily to craft Sleepbone Arrows. Each batch will yield 10 arrows, and players can craft Fletched versions that have a higher range than the normal ones.

Thin Beast Bones can be farmed from almost every animal in The Lands Between. Sheep, deer, rabbits and wolves all drop bones, but keep in mind that they may drop other materials or nothing at all when killed. These are best farmed in Sites of Grace that are near animal packs. The Warmaster’s Shack and Stormhill Shack in Limgrave have guaranteed wolf spawns that might make farming for Thin Beast Bones more convenient.

On the other hand, Trina’s Lilies are much harder to come across. These flowers are rarely seen in the wild, but some can be picked near the Summonwater Village at East Limgrave. More can be found near the Tombsward Ruins found at the southern part of Limgrave, west of the Weeping Peninsula.

There’s also one merchant at Mistwood that sells Trina’s Lilies. He can be found resting in the forest east of the road to Fort Haight. Look for a campfire to find the merchant’s camp.

Unfortunately, he only sells three lilies. The same merchant who sells the Fevor’s Cookbook also has a few lilies in stock, and one additional flower can be picked right behind him.

Sleepbone Arrows are basic and craftable versions of St. Trina’s Arrows. The latter can cause the Sleep status much faster in exchange for being rarer overall.
